The Sonoma State University Police Department will host active assailant training for law enforcement and fire department personnel from January 5 through January 9, 2026. Some areas of the Green Music Center, including all of Schroeder Hall and the education wing, will be off limits to the campus community between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. each day.

Michael E. Spagna Appointed President of Sonoma State University
The California State University (CSU) Board of Trustees has appointed Michael E. Spagna as president of Sonoma State University (SSU). Spagna currently serves as interim president of California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt.

We are excited to announce this year’s 2025 Holiday Toy Drive in partnership with Rohnert Park-Cotati Rotary Club, a tradition that’s been embraced by our community, bringing joy to hundreds of children. Last year, we served approximately 350 kids around the city of Rohnert Park and Cotati, and we hope to reach even more this holiday season.
