All members of the campus community are invited to attend the open forums for the Vice President for Advancement. All open forums will be held in Schulz Library, Room 3001, on the Sonoma State University campus.

Sonoma State University's Wine Business Institute has launched a program to help children and families of vineyard and winery workers attend and succeed in college.

Alpha Xi Delta Sorority teamed up with SSU's women's basketball team to put on the Pink Zone event on Feb. 11 to raise money for breast cancer awareness. Alpha Xi Delta raised more than $500 that will be donated to the Petaluma Health Center. Pink spirit abounded.

Sonoma State University’s Sports and Social Justice lecture series explores gender, race and society with lectures about track stars Wilma Rudolph and Dr. Tommie Smith, both of whom shattered stereotypes and paved the way for future generations.

Sonoma State University's 2017 Energy Forum features lectures on topics like energy careers, carbon tax, water efficiency and more. Lectures are Wednesdays at 4 p.m. in the Environmental Technology Center.

Award-winning authors Cortney Lamar Charleston, Fae Myenne Ng and Brian Evenson are coming to campus for the Writers at Sonoma Lecture Series. Admission is free, parking is $5-$8 on campus. There will be a Q&A session at the end of each event.

All members of the campus community are invited to attend the open forums for the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. All open forums will be held in Schulz 3001 between Feb. 7 and Feb. 15.

The SSU Distinctiveness survey was sent out to all employees in Fall of 2016. The survey consisted of two questions asking respondents to rank ideas about what would make SSU distinctive and what university learning outcomes would possibly support the identities of SSU.
