Sonoma State University (SSU) is proud to once again sponsor Sonoma County Pride and celebrate the vibrant diversity that enriches our community. Building on the energy of prior years, we look forward to participating in this year’s parade, festival, and related events on June 6, 2026.
On Monday, June 1, we invite you to join us at noon by the flagpoles near the main entrance to campus off East Cotati Avenue as we raise the Pride Flag and launch our campus recognition of Pride Month. Following the flag-raising, enjoy pizza at Weyden + Brewster (W&B) in the Student Center and create a sign to carry in the parade. Sign-making supplies will also be available to pick up for those who wish to create a sign on their own time.
SAVE THE DATE: Please join SSU on Saturday, June 6 to participate in the Sonoma County Pride Parade. The parade begins at 11 a.m., with line-up starting at 9:30 a.m. in downtown Santa Rosa. Students, staff, faculty, alumni, and their friends, families, and allies are all invited to join the celebration. If you are unable to walk in the parade, there are still ways to participate. Please take a moment to complete this survey and let us know of your interest, and we will follow up with additional logistical details for the day.
This year, we are also excited to offer Pride t-shirts to the first 100 individuals who sign up - limited to one shirt per email address. Our participation reflects the university’s ongoing commitment to supporting events and spaces that matter to our students and campus community. We look forward to coming together in celebration, visibility, and solidarity at Sonoma County Pride 2026.
