I am pleased to announce that Nish Malik has been appointed as Chief Information & Digital Strategy Officer for the San Francisco Bay Region Network (SFBRN), effective June 2026.

After six months of service as the Interim Head of Network Information Technology, Nish has demonstrated strong leadership and a clear vision for advancing the Network’s technology strategy and collaboration across campuses, and we are pleased to continue working with him in this role.

Nish brings more than 20 years of experience across higher education, state government, and the private sector. Prior to joining the Network, he served as the Senior Associate Vice President and CIO at San Francisco State University, where he led major initiatives in digital transformation, cybersecurity, and cloud adoption.

Please join me in recognizing Nish for his continued leadership with the Network. We look forward to his ongoing contributions in advancing innovation and operational excellence across the SFBRN campuses.
