A Restorative Summer - Upcoming Opportunities from OPHD's Center for Restorative Practices

The OPHD Center for Restorative Practices invites you to participate in a variety of engaging summer programs designed to support community building, restorative wellness, professional growth, conflict navigation, and meaningful connection.

Whether you are interested in restorative practices, personal well-being, or strengthening workplace relationships, we hope you will join us this summer.

Please visit the OPHD website to sign up, or simply walk in to any session. All events, except for Restorative Reset Fridays, will be held in the OPHD Learning Center on the second floor of International Hall.

JUNE

Revitalize Series: Intro to Be Well Wednesdays
Wednesday, June 10 | 2:00–2:45 p.m.
Join us for this introductory gathering focused on employee restorative wellness, encouragement, and community support. Following this introduction, Be Well Wednesdays will continue monthly beginning in August.

Summer Conflict Navigator Series
A three-part series exploring restorative practices for building community and navigating workplace challenges.

  • The Art of the Circle — Day 1
    Monday, June 22 | 11:00 a.m.–Noon
    Discover how to build campus community through connection and collaboration while learning the foundational structure of circles.
  • Navigating the Friction — Day 2
    Tuesday, June 23 | 11:00 a.m.–Noon
    An interactive session providing tools to manage workplace disruptions and everyday tension while keeping collaborative communication open.
  • Restorative Conferencing & Repair — Day 3
    Wednesday, June 24 | 11:00 a.m.–Noon
    Learn how to facilitate collaborative ownership of interpersonal disruptions through agreements and path-forward planning.

JULY

  • Finding Your Well — Session 1
    Monday, July 13 | Noon–12:45 p.m.
    Explore practical ways to replenish and sustain yourself amidst workplace demands.
  • Defining Your Good — Session 2
    Monday, July 20 | Noon–12:45 p.m.
    Focus on self-awareness, resilience, and defining your personal standards for healthy boundaries.
  • Embracing Your Greatness — Session 3

    Conclude the Restoring Your Well series by exploring strategies to sustain personal growth and fully embrace your strengths.

Revitalize Series: Be Well Wednesdays

Join our monthly community circle dedicated to restorative wellness, encouragement, and support for campus employees.

Summer Conflict Navigator Half-Day Training
Wednesday, August 12 | 1:00–4:00 p.m.
A comprehensive afternoon training exploring restorative practices for community building, de-escalation, workplace communication, conflict navigation, and collaborative repair. This is a repeat of our June offering and will include the Art of the Circle, Navigating the Friction, and Restorative Conferencing.

Revitalize Series: Introduction to Restorative Reset Fridays
Friday, August 14 | Noon–12:45 p.m. [Zoom]
Experience a virtual wellness break featuring gentle, chair-based restorative movement to restore focus and promote healthy body alignment. Following this introduction, Restorative Reset Fridays will continue monthly beginning in September.
