Tuesday, April 21, 2026, 4:59pmTO: Sonoma State Employees
FR: Trisha Ramos, Managing Director, Payroll/Benefits & Workers' Compensation
As Sonoma State prepares for the May 2026 launch of CHRS, there will be temporary changes to how absences and hours worked are reported during the transition period.
April Pay Period (4/01/2026 - 4/30/2026)
- By April 30: Employees must report all absences* and/or hours worked
- By May 1: Approvers must review and approve all reported absences and hours
* Absence types include vacation, sick, personal holiday, etc., as applicable per Collective Bargaining Agreements.
May Pay Period (05/01/2026 – 5/31/2026)
Important: Absences and hours entered in MyHR for May dates will not transfer into CHRS.
- Beginning May 1, reporting of absences and hours in MyHR will be paused until CHRS go-live
- During this pause, employees should track absences and hours using an alternate method (i.e. calendar or spreadsheet), in coordination with their supervisor
- Departments may use the Hourly Payroll Voucher to help document time worked during this period
Additional guidance on entering time and absences in CHRS will be shared as we near go-live. If you have further questions, do not hesitate to reach out to [email protected]. Thanks for your continued support as we move closer to this important transition.
