Monday, March 2, 2026, 12:08pm

TO: Campus Community
FR: Kelley Kaslar, Director, Student Recruitment and Orientation

Seawolf Decision Day is less than two weeks away, and we are excited to welcome prospective students and their families to campus on Saturday, March 14. This special event is a pivotal moment for many admitted students as they imagine their future at Sonoma State – and it takes our entire campus community to make that vision come to life.

We are thrilled to share that more than 75 clubs, organizations, academic departments, and campus partners are already planning to participate. The strong representation across campus speaks volumes about our shared commitment to student success and to creating a welcoming, vibrant experience for future Seawolves.

The day will offer families a dynamic look at life at SSU, including:

  • An inspiring Welcome Program featuring campus leadership and a shared vision of what it means to learn, grow, and belong at Sonoma State.
  • A lively Campus Resource Fair, where academic departments, student organizations, and support services will help students discover opportunities and community.
  • Engaging Academic Lightning Talks, designed to introduce majors in a fun, accessible format led by our amazing faculty.
  • Interactive Housing Tours showcasing our nationally recognized residential communities.
  • Guided Campus Tours, giving guests a firsthand look at the places and spaces that define the Seawolf experience.

In addition, Open Houses, information sessions, and open campus offices will ensure that families receive the guidance and answers they need to confidently take their next steps.

Seawolf Decision Day is more than an event – it is an opportunity to demonstrate the pride, care, and collaboration that define Sonoma State University. We are deeply grateful for the spirit of partnership that makes this day possible, and look forward to celebrating together on March 14.
