Welcome to the 2026/27 academic year! Whether this is your first or twentieth “First Day of School” at Sonoma State, or somewhere in between, we hope you'll join us in celebrating the start of a new academic year and the important role each of us plays in creating a welcoming experience for our students.
To kick off the new academic year, we’re inviting employees to wear a “Welcome Seawolves” t-shirt on the first day of classes and show our collective Seawolf spirit. This is the same design from last year, so if you already have one, pull it out and wear it again!
If you don't have a t-shirt or need a new one, employees are invited to stop by Salazar Hall, Suite 2050 (second-floor lobby) anytime between now and Friday, August 21, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., to pick up a "Welcome Seawolves" t-shirt.
- Sizes S–4XL (while supplies last)
- Limit one shirt per person
- Please pick up your own shirt (department or colleague pickups are not available)
On the first day of classes, all faculty and staff are also invited to join the campus community for a fun and festive Seawolf Welcome!
