MEN'S BASKETBALL

Sizzlin' Seawolves Slam Toros in Convincing Win

David Ahern scored a season-high 20 points and Nathan Molony-Benjamin added 12 points and a game-high seven rebounds off the bench as the Sonoma State men's basketball team boasted an all-around effort in a convincing 68-48 victory Jan. 9 over visiting Cal State Dominguez Hills at The Wolves' Den in Rohnert Park. The Seawolves jumped to 8-5 overall this season and 3-4 in the CCAA. The Toros fell below .500 at 7-8, dropping to 1-6 against conference opponents.

Davis, Seawolves Come Up Short Against Visiting Coyotes

A late-game rally by the Sonoma State men's basketball team was not enough to get past visiting Cal State San Bernardino Jan. 8 in a nailbiting upset by a score of 60-57. Despite the efforts of James Davis, who scored a game-leading 15 points, the Coyotes captured their first conference win, improving to 1-6 in conference and 4-7 on the season.

The Seawolves fell to 6-10 overall and 1-6 in the CCAA while the Toros remained perfect in conference action, moving to 7-0 against CCAA teams and 9-6 overall.
