The Sonoma State University Symphonic Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Andy Collinsworth, will perform a program of classic wind band repertoire entitled "Time and the Winds" on Sunday, Dec. 11, at 4 p.m. in Warren Auditorium.

The program, spanning 500 years of melody, draws from the Renaissance and Romantic eras, featuring Gordon Jacobs' "William Byrd Suite," Felix Mendelssohn's "Overture for Winds," and Fisher Tull's "Sketches on a Tudor Psalm," based on a 16th-century psalm by Thomas Tallis.

The performance is free of charge to all students with ID. Ticket prices are $12 general, $10 SSU faculty, alumni and staff, and $8 seniors. Purchase tickets at the door, call the box office at (707) 664-2353, or buy online at http://www.sonoma.edu/music.
