Sonoma State’s Engineering department — in collaboration with the SSU Computer Science department and Electrical Engineering Club — hosted 29 students from San Rafael High School. Kevin, their San Rafael STEM teacher, sent the following note of thanks:

"Thanks so much for hosting us! The students really enjoyed our visit and seeing what it's like to be an EE and CS major at SSU. Gilberto (Conejo) did a great job connecting with our students. Our students were given a feedback survey about the trip, and a few of the seniors responded that they plan to apply to SSU EE for next fall, and a few more responded maybe.

“Hopefully you will see some SRHS students in your freshman EE classes next year!"

Special thanks to Robotics Exploration, Sensing, and System Engineering Lab’s Dr. Nansong Wu, David Cheng, Aaron Estrada, Alexander Pagaduan, Gilberto Cornejo, Juan Jimenez, Jordan Nakamoto, Justin Amstadt; Electrical Engineering Club members Gilberto Cornejo, Antonio Kassis; and Computer Science’s Chair Mark Gondree and Professor Suzanne Rivore.
