Brown Bag Lecture Series
Social Sciences Series Features SSU Professors
The Brown Bag Lecture Series returns to Sonoma State University this fall, featuring a selection of speakers from the School of Social Sciences. Those interested are invited to pack a lunch, as lectures are from noon to 1 p.m. in Stevenson 2011.
The first lecture features history professor Amy Kittelstrom, who kicks off the series with a provocative analysis of the world's most popular sport: soccer. This talk will use the experience of Lilian Thuram--the great French defender of the 1998 World Cup--as told through his own writings to explore the colonial legacy in modern professional soccer.
Lectures are free and open to the public, parking on campus is $5-$8. For more information visit https://www.sonoma.edu/socsci/involvement/public-lecture-series.html.
