WOMEN'S SOCCER
The Sonoma State women's soccer team cruised to a 4-0 victory over archrival Chico State on Sunday, Sept. 27 at Seawolf Soccer Field in Rohnert Park. With the win, the Seawolves take sole possession of first place in the CCAA at 3-0-1 (5-1-2 overall). Ashley Luis recorded her CCAA-leading fifth shutout of the year, making four saves on the day. She continues to lead the CCAA in goals allowed (4), goals against average (0.46) and save percentage (.875).

Playing in its third overtime in the previous five games, the Seawolves got their first win in extra time this season on a penalty kick by Melissa Lafranchi in the 106th minute to defeat host Humboldt State on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at College Creek Field in Arcata.
MEN'S SOCCER
After a scoreless first half, the Sonoma State men's soccer team netted two goals early in the second half and went on to defeat visiting Chico State, 2-0, on Sunday, Sept. 27 at Seawolf Soccer Field in Rohnert Park. The Seawolves improve to 5-2-1 overall, 2-2-0 in conference play.
TJ Perez evened the game at one goal apiece in the 80th minute to force overtime against Humboldt State on Wednesday, Sept. 23 before Josh Sanchez took the rebound from Jose Avalos' shot on a breakaway and sent it home in the 97th minute to lift the Seawolves to a thrilling 2-1 overtime victory at College Creek Field in Arcata.
WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
Three Sonoma State women's volleyball players recorded double-digit kills, including a double-double performance from Madelyn Densberger with 10 kills and 15 digs, contributing to a 3-0 win (25-16, 25-19, 25-17) over Stanislaus State on Saturday, Sept. 26 at Fitzpatrick Arena in Turlock. The Seawolves have won five of their last six games, four of them by way of a three-set sweep, improving to 7-3 this season and 3-1 in conference play.
MEN'S GOLF
The Sonoma State men's golf team struggled in the third and final round on Tuesday, Sept. 22, finishing in a tie for 15th place out of 22 teams at the at the NCAA National Preview at Green Valley Ranch Golf Course in Denver, Colo. The Seawolves finished with a 54-hole score of 888 (291-288-309; +24) after shooting 21-over-par on Tuesday. Chico State ran away with the tournament title by 13 strokes over Nova Southeastern (857) and Barry (857), firing an 844 (-20) for the tournament. Green Valley Ranch is the host course of the 2016 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships in May.
