February 1, 2012

The Dr. Richard A. Rodriguez Memorial Fund Social Justice Action Award was created to honor and recognize Dr. Richard A. Rodriguez's personal and professional commitment to foster social justice among people of diverse backgrounds. It supports the initiatives/projects of SSU students interested in taking action to foster a safe and respectful learning environment as well as reduce acts of intolerance, discrimination, and hate related to the Big 8 of Diversity: Culture, Race/Ethnicity, Gender, Religion, Sexual Orientation, Age, Social Class, and Disability. This semester, we will fund or partially fund up to 3 projects. Each project may have a budget up to $200. The deadline is Monday, Feb. 20 by midnight. Applicants will be notified about the status of their applications by Wednesday, Feb. 29.
