Join Dean Thaine Stearns and the faculty of Arts & Humanities this Thursday, March 15, for the next A&H Research & Creative Works Forum of the spring 2012 semester. Rim Zahra (English) will present poetry by Ghada Samman, whose book, Arab Women in Love and War: Fleeting Eternities, which she has translated (abstract below). The presentation will begin at 12:05pm in Schulz 3001. Bring your lunch and join us!

Rim's abstract: "I have translated a poetry book from Arabic to English by Ghada Samman, a Syrian/Lebanese writer who writes about the Lebanese civil war. The poetry includes the love and the erotic as a way to address/counter patriarchal structures and the corruption of war."
